The Africa Energy Investment Corporation (AEICORP) has the honour to announce that it has received a capital contribution in excess of US$20 million from Côte d’Ivoire, representing part of the country’s expected contribution toward the capitalization of the Africa Energy Bank (AEB).
This important contribution follows earlier payments made by Nigeria, Angola, and Ghana, further underscoring the strong and growing commitment of African nations to jointly advance the continent’s energy financing architecture.
AEICORP commends the Government of Côte d’Ivoire for its timely and strategic engagement, which reflects a shared continental vision to mobilise African capital for African energy development. These contributions made by Nigeria, Angola, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire mark significant steps toward the operationalisation of the Africa Energy Bank (AEB) as a transformative institution dedicated to supporting sustainable, inclusive, and Africa-led energy investments.
